CatchLight Local is a collaborative model for visual journalism that is advancing trust and representation in local news and media.

We do this by connecting visual journalists directly with local newsrooms and community members. In addition to pairing newsrooms with visual journalists, we offer photo editing, digital media production, and trainings to enhance the capability of local newsrooms to produce high-quality visual reporting. Our long-term goal is to transform the local news and media landscape through ethical, community-centered practices.
